Dr. Melvin R. Helm, Jr, one of the original founders of Sierra Remote Observatories, unexpectedly passed away while scuba diving on December 24, 2021.  He was a powerful force at SRO, a brilliant Neurologist and loving father.  He will be missed by us all.
